#PowerHaitiCoalition is an industry alliance of local and international strategic partners working together to provide sustainable infrastructure and clean energy in the wake of Hurricane Matthew and beyond. Our long-term vision is to facilitate investment opportunities that empower communities to build resilience and thrive.

Systemic solutions are required to address the long term damage wreaked by Hurricane Matthew, a Category 4 storm, that hit the south-western region of Haiti on 4 October 2016.

The storm destroyed between 80-100% of harvest and livestock in Southern Haiti, creating major food insecurity and destroying livelihoods.  OCHA estimates that 1.4 million people are in need of immediate assistance.

#PowerHaitiCoaltion provides partners with the access and opportuntity needed to facilitate direct change on the ground. Harnessing the resources and expertise brought forward by local actors, enables communities to gain access to basic human rights, increasing opportunities and a path to a resilient future for a strong Haiti.
